A workbench is a wood workers "business
card", it is a form of self expression, and
craftsman/womenship to it's fullest. I
researched the construction of many
benches before I came up with this design.
The top is solid laminated 3" thick Hard
Maple. The end caps are Cherry, as well as
the front vise, and tail vise accents. The
front apron is Curly Maple, as is the hand
cut dovetailed tail vise, which also has
inlayed Bubinga. I carved a Japanese Maple
out of the side panels, which float inside the
Ash frame. The front drawers are Cherry,
and Maple.
